A 34-year-old man was fatally wounded inside of a Portage Park business Thursday night, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 9:35 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired inside of a business in the 5600 block of West Irving Park Road. Police found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his throat. He was taken to Lutheran General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A witness told police he saw a male suspect running moments after gunfire was heard. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
