A 14-year-old girl was discovered critically wounded overnight on the West Side in the Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 300 block of South Laramie Avenue and upon arrival spotted a vehicle with multiple gunshots. A short distance away from the bullet riddled vehicle, officers located a girl with gunshot wounds to the face and chest, police said.

Chicago Fire Department paramedics took the girl to Stroger Hospital where she was listed in critical condition, police said.
Area detectives are investigating.
