Two 16-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man were wounded Tuesday night in a drive-by shooting on the West Side in the Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of victims shot in the 200 block of South Central Avenue. The victims were outside when a dark-colored sedan drove past and someone opened fire multiple times, police said.
A 16-year-old boy suffered multiple wounds to the body and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital. An 18-year-old man suffered a wound to the right flank, and was also taken in critical condition to the same hospital. Another 16-year-old boy was grazed by gunfire to the arm, and refused medical help at the scene, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
