Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is taking on a new role at Fox News as an on-air contributor.
The 29-year-old stepped down from her White House role in August after serving as President Donald Trump’s press secretary. She held the position from January 2025 to August 2026, was the youngest person in American history to be press secretary.
Leavitt is set to begin at the cable network on Nov. 1, with The New York Times reporting that she will appear on both news and opinion programming.
She left Washington, D.C., after the birth of her second child and lives with her family in New Hampshire.
Leavitt has said she wanted to spend more time with her children, but vowed to remain a voice in support of the Republican Party and Trump.
She is now the second former Trump press secretary to move to Fox News after Kayleigh McEnany.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott told The New York Times that Leavitt’s White House and campaign trail experience will provide “authentic” insight.
“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Scott said in the announcement. “We look forward to her providing our audience with authentic and sharp insight across all Fox News Media platforms.”
For her part, Leavitt said she was “grateful for the opportunity to continue appearing on Fox News Channel as an official member of the extraordinary team at Fox News Media.”

“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House press secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defied my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platform,” she said.
The announcement comes less than 24 hours after Trump criticized Fox News in a social media rant for not covering his rally in Ohio on Saturday.
“Fox spends more time talking to Communists, Socialists, and Dumocrats, often without rebuttal, and MAGA is not, to put it mildly, happy. We don’t like stupid Jessica Tarlov, and all of the others, that are forced down MAGA’S throats,” he wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. “These Rallies are the hottest things out there, tremendous love in those sold out arenas, and nothing shows up on Fox!
“Cover our ‘happenings,’ and not the opposition to Greatness for America, or FoxNews will soon have the ratings of FAKE NEWS CNN or MSNOW (MSDNC). Remember, Fox tried this act once before, and almost went out of business (and always right before an election!). That can happen again!”
