TWO BOSTONS NAMED AMONG COOLEST PET STORES

Two Bostons, founded in downtown Naperville in 2005, has been named as one of America’s coolest independent pet retailers by PETS+ Magazine.

Nine independent pet businesses earned the America’s Coolest title for their innovation, customer experience, community involvement and retail excellence, according to the magazine.

The judging panel recognized Two Bostons for creating stores that are welcoming, colorful and thoughtfully designed, a news release said. It cited the company’s innovative marketing, educational events and community partnerships.

Two Bostons, which has since expanded to eight Chicago-area locations, is an independent, family-owned pet retailer that offers premium nutrition, treats, toys, supplies and educational resources.

The store will be featured in an upcoming issue of PETS+ Magazine as part of the 2026 America’s Coolest series.

FUNDRAISER OFFERS CHANCE FOR PET ON BEER CAN

Paws for a Cause Vet Care in Naperville is calling on pet owners to submit a photo of their cat or dog for a chance to appear on a custom beer can.

The Ales for Tails fundraiser returns for a fifth year to raise money for the nonprofit veterinary clinic, a news release said.

Pet owners can nominate their cat or dog through July 31 by submitting a favorite photo and making a $10 donation to Paws for a Cause Vet Care. The money raised goes to the clinic’s mission to provide affordable veterinary care and help keep pets in their homes and out of shelters, the release said.

The public has a chance to vote for their favorite pet throughout August. Supporters can cast their vote for $1 each, with proceeds also supporting the clinic.

The fundraiser will culminate with the Ales for Tails beer can reveal party on Oct. 22 at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora.

Winning pets will be the face of a limited edition Two Brothers Brewing Prairie Path beer can. One dog and one cat will be selected.

This year, Paws for a Cause Vet Care is introducing a new Shelter Pet category, giving one homeless pet the opportunity to be featured on its own commemorative Prairie Path beer can.

DOWNTOWN PARKING SURVEY OPEN THROUGH JULY 27

The city of Naperville is seeking feedback on downtown parking via an online survey available through 9 a.m. Monday, July 27.

Input on parking availability, location and quantity of parking spaces is being sought, a news release said. The survey is part of a larger study of downtown parking occupancy and customer satisfaction.

Signs with QR codes to access the survey will be placed downtown to encourage participation. The survey’s also available at surveymonkey.com/r/2026DowntownParking.

The data will help address long-term downtown parking needs, track changes in parking patterns and assess user satisfaction, the release said.
