
“The Frog Prince and The Princess” is a 55-minute family stage story May 13 to 23 for all ages presented by Theatre for Young Audiences and Theatre at the Center at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road in Munster. Princess Adrianna’s educational and entertaining adventure includes a search for Prince David through her family’s swampy and mysterious kingdom. She is unaware that her princely pal is now a croaking yet crafty frog after being transformed by the nefarious fortune teller Mistress Carara, assisted by Nero, her web-footed helper, a hungry pet alligator. Fortunately, Queen Mum Buscia and her faithful lop-eared royal subject Benny the Beagle guide the Princess to a magical fountain and a better tomorrow. It’s time for Chicago Street Theatre’s TeenFest 2026, directed by Lisa Formosa-Parmigiano, the artistic and education director for the space, with performances at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, and 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23. TeenFest is the annual presentation by Teen Ensemble members and membership in the ensemble is by invitation only.
