
The DuPage County coroner’s office said Monday that officials are still trying to confirm the identity of the woman whose body was found last week in the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve in Naperville.
While police believe her to be Naperville resident Olasinmibo “Sinmi” Abosede, 46, based on her clothing, the coroner’s office continues to work on identity verification. An official indicated they did not know when confirmation might be made.
The office also said it has not issued a preliminary cause of death from the autopsy conducted Friday. A final cause will be released once toxicity tests are complete in six to eight weeks.

, an area near her home where Abosede liked to walk, was done but they did not get to the grassy prairie area where the body was recovered Aug. 7.Abosede was a parishioner at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville. She and her husband, Gbenga Abosede, were married for 18 years and shared four children.
The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County Police Department is leading the investigation into Abosede’s disappearance in collaboration with the Naperville Police Department. Anyone with information on the case should email [email protected].
