Lake County Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating the pickup truck they say was involved in a July 27 hit-and-run crash that killed a Waukegan motorcyclist.

Police released images of the truck, a 2017 maroon GMC Sierra, whose driver is wanted in connection with the death of Adrian Rogel-Villanueva.
Rogel-Villanueva, 19, was killed in the early morning hours of July 27, near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Sallmon Avenue in Beach Park. Officers responding to calls found Rogel-Villanueva off the roadway near his Kawasaki. The motorcycle had damage consistent with being struck by another vehicle.
The sheriff’s office said it used the Flock camera system to obtain images of the pickup truck believed to have been involved.
The truck is believed to be at a repair shop. The vehicle would have damage on the front and passenger sides, police said. The vehicle’s license plates have likely been swapped or removed, police said. The truck may also have two decals on the upper rear window, though police said those may also have been removed.
