Officers responded to a call of a person shot overnight on the Far South Side where a 69-year-old man was found by a family member fatally wounded, Chicago police said.

About 2 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 9200 block of South Dobson Avenue where a family member found a 69-year-old man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Detectives are speaking to a person of interest and said the shooting appears to be domestic-related.
