A 26-year-old man discovered lying in a hallway of a building shot multiple times in the Garfield Park neighborhood was pronouced dead overnight, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m., the victim was found shot multiple times lying in a hallway in the 3600 block of West 5th Avenue. He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital where he later was pronounced dead.
The circumstances leading up to the fatal attack are being investigated, police said.
