A 45-year-old man was fatally wounded Friday morning while he walking in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 7 a.m., the man was walking in the 3800 block of West Augusta Boulevard when he was approached by someone who pulled out a gun and opened fire, police said. A vehicle approached and a second gunman exited and opened fire. Both shooters then fled the scene in the vehicle southbound on Hamlin Avenue, police said.

The victim suffered multiple wounds to the body, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
