A teenager was critically injured in a hit-and-run Saturday evening in the Roseland neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
A woman was traveling northbound on South Stewart Avenue in a silver sedan when she struck a 17-year-old girl near 112th street and Stewart. The teenager was running when the vehicle hit her. The vehicle came to a rest near the 400 block of West 112th after hitting the victim and a fence.
After the crash, police say, the driver jumped out of the vehicle and fled. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say no citations were issued and the Chicago Police Department’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
