With all 142 Naperville precincts in DuPage and Will counties reporting, incumbent Patrick Kelly has been returned to his Naperville City Council seat and newcomers Allison Longenbaugh and Josh McBroom will join him on the dais, unofficial election results show.

Kelly received 13% of the vote, followed by Longenbaugh, a Naperville Public Library Board member and McBroom, a former Naperville Park Board commissioner, with 12% each.

The fourth seat remains up in the air between Nathan “Nate” Wilson and Meghna Bansal, both of whom were at 10%.

Only 58 votes separated the two candidates as of Tuesday night, with Wilson in the lead.

Election results will remain unofficial until mail-in ballots postmarked for Election Day or earlier are counted, provisional ballots checked and votes canvassed.

Following behind the leaders were Nag Jaiswal at 9%; Ashfaq Syed, 8%; Rebecca Malotke-Meslin, 8%; Jodi Trendler, 7%; Ashley South, 6%; and Madhy Uppal, 4%

Stepping down from the council are Paul Hinterlong, who served the maximum number of terms allowed, and Theresa Sullivan, who opted not to seek reelection. Nicki Anderson was temporarily appointed to fill the unexpired term of Patty Gustin, who was elected to the DuPage County Board in November.
