On April 11, Chicago businessman Willie Wilson announced his run for mayor.

Since launching his campaign, Wilson has raised more than $6.07 million in contributions to his committee, Willie Wilson for Mayor, Tribune analysis reveals. By far the largest contribution was from Wilson himself, who loaned a combined $6 million to his campaign.
