A suspect was arrested Thursday night after a 48-year-old woman was fatally stabbed during a fight at a Chicago Lawn residence, Chicago police said.
About 10:10 p.m., the woman was arguing with a male suspect when the argument turned into a fight and the known suspect pulled out a weapon and struck the victim before fleeing the scene, police said.
The woman suffered a wound to her chest, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she was pronounced dead.

The suspect was caught near the 3400 block of West 56th Place and was arrested. A weapon was found inside the residence, police said.
Officials said the stabbing appears to be domestic-related. Charges are pending while detectives investigate.
