This is in reply to “Scary and sad.” First of all, get your facts right. The protest about the election did not happen at the White House. It happened at the Capitol. Furthermore, quit blaming Trump for the millions of people who died from the pandemic when he tried to shut down the country. And you Democrats got on every news channel saying he’s fearmongering. He’s trying to destroy the country. He’s trying to scare people. And then you want to complain now that people were dying. Well, let me tell you something, more people have died under Biden from the pandemic that died down under Trump, and Biden came into office having been handed a vaccine and boosters, and yet he still lost more people than Donald Trump. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.
What is a woman?
Recently on the news, none of these radical, left, woke people can explain what a woman is. They tell you they’re not a biologist. They can’t tell you what a woman is. Then why on God’s green Earth are they in the streets protesting constantly for women’s rights when they don’t know what a woman is? You all better get to the polls in November, and you better vote straight-ticket Republican because this country has gone off of its rocker.
Move on
A Deerfield man got 65 years in prison. Why is he not just getting the death penalty? I mean he killed somebody in 2018, and now four years later he’s finally getting sentenced. What’s wrong with our court system? The man killed somebody. The taxpayers shouldn’t pay to keep people in jail. It’s gotten out of hand. The death penalty needs to come back. You kill somebody like these people did, you don’t wait years. You take them back the next day and get rid of them. Hang them. Do whatever, but move on.
No assault weapons
The Illinois gun law should ban all assault weapons, even if you own them.

Scoop the Loop of Waukegan? I give it a 7. You were lacking some really good food, not all this greasy food. It would have been nice if we had had a better variety. So what does that tell you we’re missing in Waukegan restaurants? Food that is actually good for you. So what the heck was pretty bad? Greasy, greasy, greasy. Nothing healthy. Do a little better with Scoop the Loop next year.
A place to contemplate
I have a long history with libraries, dating back to when the Waukegan Public Library had branches in the neighborhoods. I worked for a year in my college library, and wanted to read every book in the stacks. But I I had not been in the Waukegan Public Library for many years until recently. I was blown away by the lights, the bright colors and the information kiosks, among other things. It’s beautiful, but to me, it’s not a library. I like quiet, and dignity, and a place to contemplate.
