No solutions
Thanks to the Democrats, inflation has now hit an all-time high of 9.1%. There are no solutions on the table. The Democrats call this mess transition. Come November, we hopefully transition you out of office. Please don’t put these fools back in office. Open up the oil pipeline, start building the border wall again and don’t call parents domestic terrorists for standing up for their children.
Panhandlers gone
Well, it looks like Gurnee got rid of its freeloaders. I was in Gurnee on Sunday afternoon, and not one of these folks that panhandle come up to me. In fact, I didn’t see any panhandlers. Wonderful job.

Causing chaos
Pete Buttigieg, the transportation secretary, was asked about people protesting at Supreme Court justices’ houses, and he said it was OK as long as they were peaceful protests. Well, I suggest that somebody from the conservative movement protest Pete Buttigieg’s house. They can get together and harass him day and night along with his husband, and keep their two children up all night. I suppose he’ll have a different opinion when people are protesting at his house and causing chaos to his family.
Because I’m old
I have a problem with Comcast. I have two things on my bill that I don’t want. I don’t know how they got on there. I am old. I don’t see too well. I might have pushed the wrong button, but I can’t get them removed without having a different kind of phone. I have a land phone and it doesn’t take texts, and they say they have to have a text to do this. And I don’t think that is necessary. I think you should be able to correct it if I could do it by accident so easily, why can’t they take it off? I don’t see why I should have to pay two extra fees for something I did not even know what it’s about. It’s my problem I guess because I’m old.
Sedition and treason
This is to the gentleman who wanted to know what the Republicans did to want to get a pardon. Let me explain this to you. There was an election. A certain group of people lost. That certain group of people decided to try to stay in power anyway. These people that were involved in that mess decided to consult with their personal attorneys. Their personal attorneys advise them that they had broken the law, and they were guilty probably of sedition. That is punishable by federal jail time, and they don’t want to do that. So they went to Bone Spur, and they asked for a pardon and Bone Spur laughed in their face. That is why they wanted a pardon. That’s the explanation. They are guilty of sedition and treason.
Some can be held accountable
This is a big thank you to reporter Gavin Good for his coverage of the Lake County Board meetings. For those of us who can’t attend meetings, he gives us comprehensive insight into what is going on with Lake County leaders. It’s good to know how those on the board are voting, so at voting time some can be held accountable.
Change the culture
Someone recently wrote in complaining that fireworks are illegal in Illinois, but guns you can have. Thank God fireworks are illegal. But, then, what in the heck were all those explosions that started in mid-June and continue today? My point is, all the laws in the world only keep decent people honest. Unfortunately, we’re surrounded by people who could not care less if their preferred activity is illegal. Police can’t, or won’t, enforce the fireworks law, and the people who shoot them off really don’t care that they’re breaking a law. The people who are shooting up our neighborhoods live outside of the law, and a thousand new “laws” won’t change their behavior. Somehow, we need to change the culture. Passing more laws is futile.
Not health care
Abortion is not health care. Health care nurtures and supports a living person; it does not destroy life.
Dead trees all over
Is Waukegan still designated a “tree city?” It seems that more and more trees on the parkways are dying. Why is Waukegan not removing these dead trees and planting new ones? Previously, homeowners could pick the young tree that the city would plant on their parkway. To keep Waukegan a “tree city,” maybe there should be a default tree if the homeowner doesn’t request one. Dead trees all over are eyesores, and Waukegan needs to step up. While they are at it, bring back the street sweepers to clear all the debris, leaves, grass clippings, broken bottles, face masks and plastic bottles littering the curbs and storm drains. We can’t be the City of Progress if we keep going backward.
