Must be Republican
In response to “Must be Democrats”: We also have adults acting like crybabies — Bone Spurs and his delusional throng of lemmings — who don’t get their way. These are the insurrectionists who conjure up stories of how the “stable genius” won the election, but yet still have zero evidence of tampering, because there was none. You speak of this country as not having values, but obviously support the party that tried to overthrow an election and refuse the free will of the people. Flag waving and insurrection don’t mix, as that is using what you call “patriotism” to overthrow democracy. How convenient, and pathetic. You must own a houseful of My Pillow products. Where is that guy’s proof of tampering? You must be a Republican.
The city one loves to hate
Waukegan had a campaign against illegal fireworks set off by “unprofessionals.” Their campaign was just semantics, and a big flop. Just as many Waukegan residents set off fireworks in the midst of a drought. No police came when called to enforce or penalize these miscreants, these anarchists here in Waukegan. Waukegan: the city one loves to hate.
Nice arrest
A big thank you to the North Chicago police department for their attention and service in locating and apprehending the alleged July 4 gunman. Lake County and the surrounding area is proud and grateful for your service, and we support the blue. Thank you NCPD.
Cockroaches
It is time to put the fuses back into the fuse box for the electric chair. It does not make sense for a person to commit a massive crime and get three meals a day, plus a place to sleep. Also, they get time to go into the yard and play games. And, if they hurt themselves, they can go to the dispensary for medical help. Why should we pay taxes to keep these cockroaches alive? Start up the electric chair.
Firing squad
Illinois is a mess, I am all for sensible gun laws. Illinois has background checks and you need a FOID card to possess a gun. Some of the strictest gun laws in the country could not prevent the shooting in Highland Park. I have a suggestion. It’s a small step, but let’s bring back the death penalty. There is no reason the shooter in Highland Park deserves to live. He is the poster child for the death penalty. I don’t care if he is mentally unstable. Instead, we will pay for this jerk to sit behind bars the rest of his worthless life. But we have lefty liberal front groups that are anti-death penalty and care more about the rights of the criminals than the victims. Warning sign after warning sign, and the guy is out roaming the streets. Should have been institutionalized three years ago. Thanks ACLU. They think he will somehow turn his life around. Well, you have no right to take innocent lives. Murder is illegal. If I ruled the world, he would be out before a firing squad yesterday.
Scary and sad
I guess the “far right” Republicans complaining about the “far left” Democrats wasting money on the hearings have conveniently forgotten years of taxpayer money wasted on the Clinton/Benghazi witch hunt, where four Americans unfortunately died. But that’s OK, keep pretending Trump is an angel. Keep pretending Jan. 6 was just a friendly visit to the White House. Keep pretending we didn’t lose over a million Americans to COVID because Trump failed to accept we had a deadly virus and put his greed first. Good grief, your denial of the facts and your failure to see in both directions is extremely scary and sad.
Celebrating what?
On the same day of the Highland Park carnage, morons in Zion were setting off loud fireworks until midnight and beyond. I guess they were celebrating something.
Party of death
I’ve read the article about how to explain the parade shooting to children. What we need to do is explain this to the Republican children in the House and Senate, the ones who are bought and paid for by that terrorist organization known as the National Rifle Association. We have the strongest military known to man, but we cannot protect people grocery shopping, kids attending school or people watching an Independence Day parade. Universal background investigations are long overdue, but the party of death refuses to break free from their sponsors long enough to do the right thing. Republicans treat human lives like fishing. Throw them back while they’re young and kill them when they grow. The blood is on the hands of every Republican.
