Cannot let this happen
Every totalitarian regime confiscates the weapons of its citizens so that they can be controlled. The illegitimate socialist puppet and his clown car administration are going to attempt to use the Uvalde massacre to get your guns because they think that they can override the Second Amendment just as they have done with the First Amendment. We cannot let this happen.
Thanks Putin
Thanks Putin for high gas prices. Thanks Putin for food shortages and rising food prices. Putin’s war is destroying Ukraine and probably starting a worldwide recession.
Not a way of life
I’m not pro-abortion, but I am pro-choice. In the same breath, I agree with a contributor who said whatever happened to birth control and being responsible? Abortion is not birth control, but some seem to use it as such. On the other hand, you have those popping out babies without marriage, counting on their state or government to support them. Maybe the answer is to stop all this government support and make these people support themselves. Stop having kids just to get that government check and that Link card. Make them responsible for themselves and their choices. We need to stop encouraging entitlement and laziness. Besides, taxpayers are tired of footing the bill for losers taking advantage of a failed system that has no follow-up. Good grief, any government assistance should be temporary, not a way of life.
Enough gun laws
I am not in favor of more gun laws. We have hundreds, if not thousands of gun laws on the books across our country. Further, isn’t it against the law to commit murder? There was a time where we locked up people like the Texas shooter. He should have been in an institution looking at four padded walls while wearing a straightjacket long before he went on his rampage. Not everyone is capable of being helped or getting along in a civilized society, and people with some screws loose upstairs do not deserve to be among us. The same goes for gangbangers on our streets. Look in Illinois, any given weekend 20 people will get killed by gun violence. Dollars to doughnuts the shooters are career criminals. Caught time and time again with an illegal gun. Why not enforce current laws? You read about it all the time. Some felon on parole or out on bail caught with a gun. And no FOID card. There is your lather, rinse, repeat. People are not afraid of the consequences. I say if you kill somebody, you spend every waking day the rest of your life in jail thinking about it.
Elderly are next
Everyone is fearful that abortion will be eliminated in the future. Do you really feel that anyone has the right and authority to decide who is allowed to live or die regardless of their age? If abortion is permitted with abandon, it is a forgone conclusion that eventually society will want to deny the elderly lifesaving measures because they are old and have no one to care for them. And how about the handicapped, the mentally challenged, etc.? It will just be a matter of time before someone will come up with these practices. Birth control has evolved to a point where an unplanned pregnancy is pure lack of responsibility and laziness. Even in cases of rape, there is the morning after pill that is readily available.
DNA testing
If women will be forced to carry the baby of a rapist, then perhaps mandatory DNA testing should occur for all males. This will allow for the rapist to be known, and after his jail sentence they can have his assets confiscated and any paychecks garnished and paid to the state for the long-term foster care of the child.
