No one wants to take away your guns. People hunt and shoot, but not with assault rifle-type guns. Most of us just want sensible gun laws to make sure mass shootings like Columbine, Uvalde and Buffalo don’t keep happening over and over again.
Not hard to figure out
About the Lake Villa Township Republican Club gun raffle: Really? They wanted to raffle five guns, including an AR-15? Why would anyone think it is OK to raffle an AR-15? They are not used for hunting or trap shooting, etc. They are used in mass shootings to kill people. They are assault rifle-type weapons that should only be used by the military. How many people have to die before this changes? According to the Lake Villa Township Republican Club, the gun raffle will be “postponed” indefinitely. Dick Barr, the club’s vice chair said, “A final decision to cancel the raffle cannot be made until the entire membership of the club has the opportunity to vote.” Things need to change in this country. People do not need to have AR-15 or AK-47 guns. Have background checks. Have a waiting period. License gun owners. Register guns. Doesn’t seem that hard to figure out.
There surely is gouging
Why is gas now costing more than $5 per gallon? All sorts of world conditions affect the price of gas. I understand that, but here’s the thing. There doesn’t seem to be an actual shortage. Every station has all the gas they can pump. At various points in the production and distribution, there surely is gouging.
Sick world
We should definitely keep guns out of the hands of Democrats. They don’t know how to aim. That is, they don’t know how to aim their anger. They rail at the NRA and the “gun lobby.” Easy arguments, but the wrong target. There are plenty of legitimate targets in our current culture: the entertainment industry, movies, “music,” video games and disrespect for authority. There’s also the belief they’ve cultivated that we’re all “special”; that every lifestyle is OK; that we’re constantly “disrespected.” Then there’s the decline of religion, and the disintegration of the family. These are some “targets” that need to be addressed, but it’s just too easy to sit back and blame the NRA and the gun lobby, when liberals have really created the sick world in which we’re living.
You sound ridiculous
Good grief, another sheeple spreading falsehoods that the government is going to take our guns away. Stop this nonsense whoever you are, and stop trying to scare the legally armed, law-abiding citizens with your fearmongering. If this was ever possible, they would’ve taken away all the guns from the wannabe thugs and gangs already. So stop your nonsense chatter. You sound ridiculous.
Song and dance
If you don’t like the rising gas prices, why would you ever vote to increase your real estate taxes by $600 on average annually? Tired of having been lied to by the president, the Fed and the Treasury Department about how inflation is transitory? Why would you believe the song and dance being put on by District 121 officials and administrators? Dump the superintendent position, sell the empty land and vote out all the board members who have given away all the tax revenue to the teacher’s unions.
Save a few lives
Just a few years ago, an FBI investigation found the lady was able to purchase 31 firearms over the course of 25 days in Indiana. She used false information to make the purchases, then sold the firearms to others. Many of these firearms were found to be used in gang-related shootings in Chicago. Seems Indiana has lax laws, and background checks. Perhaps these are the laws which can be toughened to save a few lives.
