We need more common sense

We’re hoping that November comes sooner so we can vote all the Democrats out of office. They have done a terrible job. This is probably the worst president we’ve ever had in my lifetime. I’m a senior. This is just an awful situation. We’re going through with a different crisis every week. He just ignores what’s going on around him. Someone needs to wake him up. There’s something wrong with what’s going on in our country. This is just an awful situation. We need to get Republicans back in office and put some common sense back in government.

Combat pay

This is for all the whiners out there that say that teachers get paid too much. You’re just lucky that they don’t hit you up for combat pay.

Three steps

Here we go again. Another mass shooting when little kids are shot in an elementary school. Here’s what we should do. Number 1, the NRA should be designated a domestic terrorist organization and be dealt with as such. Number 2, we’ve got to again ban all assault weapons and high-magazine containers that contain the bullets for those assault weapons. Number 3, every single senator who is in the pocket of the NRA should be required to walk in to that classroom and see the little bodies slaughtered all over on the floor. That should be required.

Blood on your hands

More dead children. I hope you Second Amendment wackos are happy. It’s blood on your hands.

Pretty extreme

This is for the guy talking about extreme actions. You want the extremist action of all time? This stupid, ridiculous replacement theory that you conservatives come up with. That is the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard in my entire life. That’s some pretty extreme action there.

Stop the diseases

What are we doing in the United States to stop letting people come into our country with diseases. Another disease we have coming into this country has been officially. diagnosed as monkey pox. This is what happens when our borders are unsecured. So people with children, and people in general, are you going to live with the bag over your face?

Kids don’t need more rifles

First off, I am a lifetime NRA member. That being said, I do not support all of the not-common-sense positions the NRA supports. When it comes to AR-15-style weapons, especially. I am a retired vet, having joined the military at 17. We were taught and used the M-16/M4. So, as to the question of whether an 18-year-old should have one? For me, no. Those rifles, whether semi or auto, are designed as military weapons? America needs to speak up. An 18-year-old walking into a gun store and buying an AR? Really? And for me, I don’t buy that no one knew he had them, not to mention that the gun store could of not been more vigilant. We need to change our laws. Kids don’t need those rifles.

Hot topic

Amazed that I continue to read comments from the mentally unbalanced Trumpublicans who obtain their news from Fox News and Infowars. Heck, when I was checking online, Fox had already buried the terrible Texas school shooting story from the front page, but the thrilling Johnny/Amber trail was a hot topic. Do you know that many Republican “leaders” receive hundreds or thousands of “donation” dollars from the NRA?

Inflation

My first house cost $19,000 in 1970. Five years ago, I purchased a used car for that same amount. That tiny, little two-story house sold for almost $300,000 a few years ago. Have you been in a stupor all these years? A new lawn mower now costs more than my new Ford Pinto back then.
