Two Gary teens were fatally shot within a minute of each other in Merrillville early Sunday morning.
Merrillville Police Det. Sgt. Ray Smith said Sunday that Rickey J. Nelson, 16, and Jamar Hines, 18, were found dead at the Broadmoor Apartment complex in the 3900 block of W. 77th Place.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene around 2:50 a.m. Sunday, according to releases.
