Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As she walked through Scoville Park on April 15, Jean Edwards, 75, of Oak Park answered a few questions for the Oak Leaves.

Q: Favorite local restaurant?

A: My favorite is Maya Del Sol.

Q: Do you have a regular order there?

A: I regularly order the drink called pisco sour. But other than that, I eat whatever.

Q: Last book you read?

A: A Lee Child book — “Echo Burning.”

Q: Would you recommend it?

A: Yeah. If you like Jack Reacher, yeah, it was good.

Q: Is there an outdoor activity you’re looking forward to resuming now that spring is here?

A: In addition to Maya, I like to eat outside at Poor Phil’s. I play tennis. Just walking around Oak Park is good for me.

Q: Travel destination of choice?

A: On our bucket list was through the Panama Canal, and we’ve done that. My husband and I are taking a trip to Canada through America By Rail.

Q: Charity of choice?

A: I have a list of 25 to 30 I’ve contributed to. Locally, probably PING! because they give instruments to kids. My husband tutors, so I support Cluster Tutoring in Chicago.

Q: Interesting fact about yourself?

A: I do lots of things. I just came from my film acting class at Sarantos Studios. I just like studying it: doing scences, being filmed. At this point in my life, I’m not interested in a career.
