Kendall County deputies charged a Missouri man with endangering the life of his child early Tuesday morning after he was stopped and charged with drunken driving near Yorkville.

According to deputies, Clifford Beckerman, 45, was stopped for improper lane usage around 1:28 a.m. near Van Emmon Road and Heustis Street. Beckerman’s 13-year-old son was in the car at the time of the stop, deputies said.

During Beckerman’s initial contact with deputies, he allegedly provided a false name. Deputies said this was to avoid being picked-up on two warrants that had been issued for his arrest.

Deputies said two counties in Missouri had active warrants for Beckerman related to drunk driving offenses. Both were no bond warrants.

Beckerman was taken into custody and charged with drunken driving, driving on a revoked license, obstruction of identification, endangering the life of a child, no insurance, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol.
