Venric Mark’s season is over, Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald said Monday.
NU’s star tailback and All-America punt returner will be shut down after a left leg injury that limited him to one full game and parts of two others this season.
Northwestern plans to seek a medical hardship waiver for Mark, giving him a fifth season of eligibility. Mark will be made available to the media Tuesday.
“Things have happened to him that have been out of his control,” Fitzgerald said. “But with things in control, he has been amazing … coaching guys up.”
