So much for that relationship

Eagles receiver Terrell Owens dumped longtime agent David Joseph for high-profile Drew Rosenhaus last week despite sticking by Joseph last year when Joseph failed to file his free-agency papers on time. In a 2004 book, Owens wrote of Joseph: “He’d had my back for years, through Dallas and Sharpie and everything else, and I had his now. If you don’t do this when it really counts, then you don’t know what family means. Or faith. Or love. David was in the meat grinder and I needed to be there for him . . . ” Owens also wrote: “Our relationship is so much more than client-agent.” Rosenhaus promptly met with Eagles brass, reportedly saying he felt Owens’ deal was “fair” but that Owens had “outperformed his contract.”
