The Block Cinema series will present the 17-minute documentary “Hostage: The Bachar Tapes,” about the only Arab man who was held hostage with Western journalists in Beirut in the 1980s, and the feature “Wedding in Galilee,” which brings Palestinians and Israelis together (7 p.m. May 24; $6). Two documentaries, “The New Chimpanzees” and “A Mountain Gorilla: A Shattered Kingdom,” will be shown as part of the series (8 p.m. May 25; free).
