15-year-old boy found fatally wounded in shooting on Far South Side

A 15-year-old was discovered fatally wounded Thursday night in the Riverdale neighborhood on the city’s Far South Side, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 11 p.m., the boy was found lying on the ground in the 600 block of East 13100 Street with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Terron Frieson of the West Pullman neighborhood, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one was in custody for the fatal shooting, and detectives were investigating.
