
Republican U.S. Rep. Mary Miller, 67, has since 2021 held her seat in Illinois’ 15th District, which covers much of central downstate Illinois and has a strong conservative tilt.
Her Republican primary opponent Judy Bowlby would’ve satisfied the region’s conservative bent with a more pragmatic, independent-minded style. Miller, alas, is a die-hard MAGA devotee and serves primarily as a rubber stamp for Trump.
Her challenger, Jennifer Todd, 56, is a first-time candidate and retired nurse. She’s much too progressive for this district and for us. We believe Democrats should’ve gone with Paul Davis
