3. Batavia 5-2 (3): Charlie Rosengren, who had 89 yards rushing, scores on second 1-yard touchdown run in final two minutes for winning margin as Bulldogs edge Wheaton North 28-21.

4. Kaneland 6-1 (4): Brody Guthrie throws four TD passes, including three to Cooper Stombres of 18, 25 and 90 yards, as Knights cruise past LaSalle-Peru 56-7 in Interstate Eight Conference.

5. Aurora Christian 6-1 (5): Jesus “Juju” Vasquez powers Eagles to 40-18 Chicagoland Christian Conference win over Chicago Christian by throwing two TD passes and running for another.

6. Jacobs 6-1 (6): The Golden Eagles get back on winning track with 42-6 victory over Crystal Lake Central behind two TD passes by Austin Stennett and two TD runs by Nick Meyer.

7. Burlington Central 5-2 (7): Parker Auxier ignites the Rockets with a 51-yard TD run in a 27-6 Fox Valley Conference victory over rival McHenry.

8. St. Charles North 3-4 (8): The North Stars stumble early, turning ball over on downs and an  interception to trail 14-0 in eventual 35-7 loss to surging Wheaton Warrenville South.

9. South Elgin 6-1 (10): How’s this for special? Diesel Fecarotta block punt and recovers in end zone for TD and Danny Moscoso makes 32-yard field goal to lift Storm past West Aurora 29-27.

10. Yorkville 3-4 (NR): Joel Castillo returns opening kickoff 90 yards for TD, while Max Delgado runs for two TDs and throws for one. But Foxes drop 36-35 heartbreaker at Plainfield South.

Offensive Player of the Week

Illinois-bound senior receiver Bennett Konkey catches four passes for 184 yards and four TDs in Geneva’s 62-35 win over Glenbard North. He now has 50 catches for 1,145 yards and 17 TDs.

Defensive Player of the Week

Senior defensive end/tight end Thomas Prescott, a Wyoming commit, comes up with sack on fourth down with six seconds left to preserve Batavia’s 28-21 DuKane Conference win.
