I recently attended an excellent Zoom webinar about the upcoming election conducted by the office of Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega. The purpose was to provide transparency about the process and to allay concerns about the integrity of our voting system.

The webinar explained how voting eligibility is determined, the steps taken to protect the voter-by-mail process, and other important aspects about the election. I appreciated this proactive effort to explain how carefully our voting process is protected and to debunk scare-mongering tactics in some other quarters.
I feel even more confident casting my vote in this election. I encourage Lake County voters to exercise their right to vote equally confidently. Thank you to Anthony Vega’s office for your work.
