
Evanston police have arrested a man accused of lewdly exposing himself to two teens inside a Starbucks coffee shop on Central Street in July, according to a police department news release.
Tyreese M. Russell, 33, of the 4900 block of South Vincennes Avenue, Chicago, has since been charged by the Cook County state’s attorney’s office with one Class 4 felony count of sexual exploitation of a child and two Class 4 felony counts of public indecency.

Police responded to the Starbucks, located at 3330 Central Street, Evanston, at approximately 1 p.m. on July 28, after receiving a report of a man exposing himself and touching his genitals in front of two juveniles aged 16 and 17, according to police.
Russell also appeared to be recording both juveniles with his cellphone video during the exposure, the news release said.
After one of the teens noticed Russell’s behavior and confronted him, he left the Starbucks location before police arrived, per police.
Evanston detectives conducted a follow-up investigation to identify Russell and determine his address, locating him inside a vehicle in front of his residence Sept. 18, Commander Chelsea Brown confirmed.
Russell was then taken into custody at the Evanston Police Department, Brown said, and driven to the Skokie Courthouse, 5600 Old Orchard Road, for an initial court hearing.
He remains in the custody of the Cook County Department of Corrections, according to Brown.
Russell’s next scheduled court appearance is Oct. 14 at the Skokie Courthouse.
An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
