Sojourner Truth House hosting listening circle, supplies distribution on Oct. 5 in Gary
The Women’s Foundation of Indiana is hosting a Women’s Listening Circle and distributing supplies in Gary on Oct. 5, at Sojourner Truth House.
The foundation’s statewide listening tour started in Gary in May, and it’s returning this fall to hear from women whose voices the group may have missed the first time. This conversation is scheduled to happen between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the rear building of Sojourner Truth House, located at 410 W. 13th Ave. It is another opportunity for women in the community to share their experiences, lift up local ideas and help shape what’s possible for women and girls across Indiana.

The foundation also partnered with Deborah’s Place, an Indianapolis nonprofit, to transport hygiene products, paper goods and other disaster relief supplies to the Urban League of Northwest Indiana and Sojourner Truth House for distribution to the community. They will arrive during the listening session.
