A woman died after she was pulled from Lake Michigan Sunday morning near the Kenwood neighborhood.
Police said the Chicago Fire Department Marine Unit pulled her from the water at around 10:12 a.m. in the 4500 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
The woman, whose name and age were not immediately released, was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Area One detectives are conducting a death investigation pending autopsy results.
