A woman was pronounced dead after she was discovered stabbed multiple times inside a Little Village apartment where a 59-year-old man was seriously injured, Chicago police said.
Officers responded about 11:35 p.m. to a call of a person stabbed in the 2500 block of South Christiana Avenue and found an unresponsive woman with multiple stab wounds. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A 59-year-old man also was found inside of the apartment with lacerations to his body, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
A weapon was discovered at the scene. Detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.
