3 hospitalized after boat capsizes on Lake Michigan

Three people were hospitalized after a boat capsized on Lake Michigan Monday evening, the Chicago Fire Department said.

The Chicago Fire Department’s scuba team responded to a report of a boat sinking around 7:26 p.m. near the 4500 block of Lake Shore Drive in Kenwood, a department spokesperson said.

All seven passengers were pulled out of the water. Three were transported to nearby hospitals in good condition, while the remaining four refused medical attention, the spokesperson said.
