A Mundelein man was killed Monday night when his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Mettawa, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the motorcyclist, who was 44.
Police said the crash happened at about 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of Illinois Route 60 and St. Mary’s Road.
The motorcycle rider, police said, was headed west on Route 60 and had a green light at the intersection. Police said a Waukegan woman headed east on Route 60 made a left turn onto St. Mary’s Road.

The cyclist collided with the woman’s Chevrolet Trax and was ejected from his 2022 Honda motorcycle. The bike collided with a third vehicle, but none of its three occupants were hurt, police said.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The Waukegan woman, 55, suffered minor injuries and is cooperating with authorities, police said.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
