Man dies after being found outside Friday with trauma to the body

A 68-year-old man who was found outside with blunt force trauma to his body in the West Ridge neighborhood died from his injuries, Chicago police said.

Around 2 p.m. Friday, the victim was found outside with trauma to his body in the 2800 block of West Devon Avenue. He was taken in serious condition to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he later was pronounced dead.

Chicago police classified the incident as a homicide, but no further information was available. Detectives were investigating.
