The person fatally shot at a party Sunday in Crete Township has been identified as Hammond resident David Velazquez, 20, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The shooting took place on the 27000 block of State Line Road in Crete Township. Velazquez’s cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds.
Two other victims, ages 33 and 26, were also injured. The Will County sheriff’s office said Monday both were in critical condition and undergoing surgeries.

The shooting took place at a family party, the sheriff’s office said.
No arrests had been made as of Monday, according to the sheriff’s office. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are interviewing witnesses, the sheriff’s office said.
