Steven J. Knox, 19, of Dolton, has been indicted on eight counts of first-degree murder in relation to the January death of Michael Arnold, 68, of Oak Forest, the Oak Forest Police Department announced Monday.
First responders found Arnold dead Jan. 23 in a home on the 15000 block of Sunset Avenue in Oak Forest while responding to a report of an unresponsive person. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office listed Arnold’s cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds.
Knox is scheduled to appear for a detention hearing at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Cook County courthouse in Bridgeview, police said.
