Michael Arnold, 68, was killed Friday in Oak Forest, the Oak Forest Police Department announced.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office listed Arnold’s cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds and ruled the case a homicide.

Oak Forest police said in a statement officers responded to a report of a non-responsive individual in a home on the 15000 block of Sunset Avenue, where Arnold lived.

First responders found Arnold inside the residence. He was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m. Friday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The investigation is ongoing, police said. Police asked anyone with information to contact investigator David Lowisz at 708-687-1376.
