A teen boy has died following a Saturday afternoon shooting near his home in the Roseland neighborhood, according to authorities.
The boy, 15, got into an argument with an unknown gunman just before 12:40 p.m. in the 9200 block of South LaSalle Street, Chicago police said. The gunman then pulled out a firearm and shot the boy in the chest.
The boy, Robert D. Gunn Jr., was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
Police said no suspects are in custody and detectives are investigating.
