A six-month-old girl was found unresponsive in the Englewood neighborhood just after 11 p.m. Saturday.
The girl was reported unresponsive in the 7200 block of South Winchester Ave., police said. She was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital, where she was initially listed in critical condition and later pronounced dead.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the girl as Kloe Bastos Castillos. An autopsy determined the manner of death as homicide and the cause of death as multiple injuries and child abuse.
Officials are conducting a death investigation.
