The driver of a private ambulance was issued traffic citations Tuesday after the vehicle rear-ended a CTA bus in the city’s Loop, injuring seven passengers, according to Chicago police.
The collision occurred when the ambulance was traveling south in the 1100 block of South Michigan Avenue when it struck the rear of the southbound bus just ahead of it, just after 10:10 a.m., police said.
Seven passengers in all were taken to three area hospitals, where they were all listed in good condition, police said.

The ambulance driver was issued two citations. Police did not name the ambulance company.
