Two University of Chicago students were robbed at gunpoint outside a residence hall Sunday.
Three people, all carrying guns, got out of a black sedan and approached the students, who were walking on the sidewalk around 12:40 a.m. outside the Campus North Residence Hall near 1105 East 55th Street, according to a university security alert.
The suspects demanded property from the students, took some and got back in the car, which then drove east on 55th Street, the alert said.
Neither student was hurt physically, and the University of Chicago Police Department was investigating the incident, according to the alert.
