Four Chicago area steakhouse chefs are coming to the Village of Hinsdale Aug. 22 for a first-of-its-kind “Steakfest.”

The event hosted by Vistro Prime, a steakhouse situated on Washington Street in downtown Hinsdale, will feature chefs Chris Pandel from Swift & Sons, Giuseppe Tentori from GT Prime, John Manion from El Che and Brasero and Jose Sosa formerly of UMMO executive chef and owner Paul Virant.

They will cook their signature steaks alongside Paul Virant, the executive chef and owner of Vistro Prime who will provide salads and sides to accompany the main event.

“We are a steakhouse first and foremost and I’ve always been incredibly proud about the steak we serve at our restaurant,” Virant said in a news release. “We’re super excited to have some of the best chefs in the city join us for Steakfest in August and allow the local community to try some of the best steaks Chicagoland has to offer.”

Tickets are available for $125, all profits from ticket sales will be donated to The SPARK Youth Development Initiative. This nonprofit provides free counseling and therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families from Hinsdale Lake Terrace, Hinsdale Point, Waterfall Glen, and Echo Lane, according to the news release.

Chef John Hogan of Whittingham Meats, a butcher shop in Alsip, will provide the steaks for the event.
