At least 3 gunmen in black SUV open fire toward victims Thursday night in South Shore neighborhood

A woman and a man who were standing on a sidewalk Thursday night in the South Shore neighborhood were shot by at least three people who got out of a SUV and opened fire, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 8:15 p.m., the victims were standing in the 7400 block of South Kingston Avenue when three people exited a black SUV and opened fire.

A 47-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to the right foot and a 26-year-old man was shot to the left leg. Both victims were taken to UChicago Medicine where the woman was listed in good condition and the man in fair condition, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
