Shortly before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the intersection of Biesterfield and Meacham roads for a two-vehicle crash with injuries, according to an Elk Grove Village Police Department release.
Police said all of the injured vehicle occupants were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. A woman was pronounced dead but as of Wednesday morning she had not been identified, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The release said at the time the entire intersection was closed until further notice while the traffic unit investigated.
