Personal responsibility: End of free COVID tests — hurray! Isn’t it more reasonable for people with a health fear to take action to keep themselves safe rather than demanding everyone else having to ask what their health issues are?
Dualing veep wannabes? Rumor has it that Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida is being mentioned as a vice presidential candidate in the 2024 election. But it appears his greatest hurdle isn’t convincing Donald Trump, it’s overcoming the hurdles placed in front of him by his own party, particularly Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has her own sights on the veep position. Regardless, the idea of any of these characters stepping foot in the Oval Office should have us all howling at the moon on yet another restless night.
Skeptical of China: It’s ironic that China is trying to replace the U.S. as the economic and political benefactor of the world. They are funding development in countries, their currency is increasing in acceptance over the U.S. dollar and now they pretend to be peacemaker with Ukraine. It’s like the bully’s right-hand man offering to mitigate the bullying! Beware the consequences of accepting Communist help!
Companies jumping ship: Walmart is ditching Chicago. The governor of California wants to throw Walgreens out of the state. Whole Foods is leaving San Francisco and Walgreens has left San Francisco. Now what do all of these situations have in common? They’re all cities and states run by Democrats. And why are these companies leaving? Because you can’t make money in a state or a city that has no police protection.
Waste of money: I would like to know why we are funding NASA to send a rocket that doesn’t fly to the moon. We did this 50 years ago. If they want to concentrate on something, why don’t they send a moving truck up there to bring back the billions of dollars and equipment that was left behind. I mean, it would be a great garage sale.
Rioters and delegates: What is the Democratic National Convention going to do when they’re in downtown Chicago and you get a bunch of rioters out there destroying everything?
