Is this good or bad? While baseball fans on the whole seem pleased with the use of a timer for both pitchers and batters, beer vendors aren’t nearly as happy with fewer brews being purchased and consumed in a shorter amount of time. As a result, the new rules have not only quickened the game but our drinking as well.

Disappointed by settlement: I was looking forward to the Fox News trial to expose just how they could deny the false accusation they fed to their viewers. Unfortunately, Dominion settled for $787.5 million. What is missing now is the public will lose the trial exposure as to how and why Fox News misleads the public. Many of those individuals in the Jan. 6 insurrection relied on the Fox News as their confirmation to participate by believing Dominion’s committed the accused fraud.
Celebrities don’t sell me: It’s amazing how gullible most people are to be influenced by a celebrity spokesperson. This Bud Light boycott is ridiculous. The beer tastes the same whether it’s endorsed by Dylan Mulvaney or Spuds McKenzie. I will never, nor have I ever, purchased a product as the result of a celebrity endorsement or mascot.
No more freeloading: A recent column by Bloomberg states the federal government should pay for public child care so mothers can work. I’m sorry, but taxpayers do not have to pay to care for your child. Neither should we have to pay for schools to provide breakfast or lunch for your child. These are parental obligations that parents must provide and nobody else. Quit the freeloading.
Sort of ridiculous: I get a kick out of the sudden push to ban gas stoves in new buildings. The people who are all for it claim that gas fumes in homes with poor ventilation accounts for some childhood asthma cases. Curious that those are the only fumes they’re worried about. Every day, people spray air fresheners and use plug-ins in their homes. They use heavily scented dryer sheets and fabric softeners so their towels can smell like ocean breeze. People vape, and that’s liquid chemicals. And then there’s the toxins in new carpeting, shampoos, foods and all kinds of products.
Unlovable losers: It’s early in the season but the Sox look like pretenders, not contenders. There is no team chemistry. Their bullpen is a bunch of batting practice nobodies. Like the Beatles song, “Help,” I need somebody to love.
